Class will start with a visit into the Garden and using photos to capture nature as inspiration. Students would then draw an idea emphasizing texture such as the veins in a leaf, the bark of a tree or flower petals. With the guidance of Ms. Cox, students will carve their designs in linoleum and make block prints. The finished block can be printed as art pieces or as art cards to share. The wonderful thing about block prints are the multiple images than can be produced with the use of color inks to create variations. Fairchild will supply the cutting tool and inks; a supply list will be e-mailed to registered students. Class is three sessions on Monday/Wednesday/Friday, October 9, 11 and 13
