Art classes are appropriate for students 18 years of age or older;
unless noted as a Family Class.

Registered students will be emailed a supply list 5 - 7 days prior to class. 
Refunds (less a 20% service fee) will be made for cancellations received seven days prior to classes and workshops.
No refunds will be given for missed classes. Classes are not interchangeable.
Classes may be canceled if minimum enrollment

Mixing and painting neutral colors can be a challenge! Join Hillary in the studio and learn how to create just the right shades of gray to paint the delicate colors and textures of the beautiful dried seed pods, coconut shells, bird nests, dried leaves and branches found throughout the Garden. This class is geared to students with previous basic watercolor experience. A note about your supplies for this class: For those students who have previously taken Hillary's classes please plan to bring all of your drawing and watercolor supplies from her previous painting classes. For new students, all art supplies will be provided for use during class time only, for a fee of $10. This fee is paid directly to the instructor on the day of class.

Learn to paint South Florida's delicious tropical fruits! This class is for everyone with watercolor experience looking for opportunities to develop, build, and apply their skills and techniques of painting with washes and dry brush, while focusing on form and texture. Students will be inspired by freshly picked and locally grown tropical fruits. Sample some of the fruits as you paint! A note about your supplies for this class: Supplies will be provided by Hillary Parker for use during class time only for a one-time $30 fee due the first day of class. Hillary's previous students taking this class please plan to bring all of your drawing and watercolor supplies used in her earlier classes.

Students at all levels are welcome to learn the fascinating art of pastels. Discover how to paint in soft pastel, considered by many as the purest of painting media. Soft pastel is bright, colorful, and easy to learn. Award-winning Miami artist, Dan Bondroff, will teach students how to create tropical landscape paintings in soft pastel from concept to completion.

Watercolor Artist, Diane Lary will teach students how to capture tropical flowers and foliage using a limited palette of transparent watercolors. Students will learn how to crop their images creating a strong composition and how to focus the detail to create a vibrant center of interest. Then by applying several layers to the background, using a variety of techniques, they will develop color harmony and depth, adding final touches to complete the painting. Participants should bring several reference photos and a light lunch.
